Give yourself a break…

As a Personal Stylist, one of my my most popular services is Personal Shopping. I go shopping with women all of the time, and know first hand how hard women can be on themselves when it comes to their bodies. It’s such a shame really because often I will have them put something on that they look absolutely stunning in, but they can’t get past one “flaw” about themselves that no one else would ever notice,  and they don’t buy a piece because they think it would look better on someone else (ie. someone taller, shorter, thinner, curvier, etc).

I recently read this online post from Rocker Mom Rambles about the prevalance of women beating themselves up about their figure “flaws” or comparing themselves to others.

It’s a great read, and hopefully it will encourage you to think differently and give yourself a break…at least long enough to recognize your unique beauty.

Thanks for sharing! I hope the thoughts contained in my post help women appreciate themselves just for being who they are, not compared to some unattainable idea of perfection.
