I totally understand that working with a Personal Stylist is a very personal thing – that’s why you need to make sure it’s someone you’re going to connect with with and someone you trust.
That’s why I created this page – so you can get to know a bit more about me.
But first, I want you to know I am NOT going to push my personal style on you – I’ll leave that to your well meaning shopping buddies and retail sales people. 🙂
My job is to get to know who you are on the inside, so I can help you show it off to the outside world.
By the way…
I’m a naturally curious person that will ask you lots of questions to get to really know and understand you so I can translate that into your style & wardrobe.
You can thank my Journalism background for all the question asking and natural curiosity.
Actually, my Journalist background is what brought me into my Personal Styling career!
Before my Personal Styling business I worked as a T.V. Reporter, and when you work in T.V. you get a small clothing allowance each season to buy new clothes for wearing on air.
It’s not much money, but I’ve always been a great shopper so was able to find the best deals and was creative putting outfits together, so my colleagues assumed I had tons of clothes.
They started to ask me where I got things and when I told them, some of them started asking if I would help them shop for new pieces too! Then they started asking me to help them put new outfits together using the new pieces we got and their current wardrobe.
It wasn’t long before I realized helping others with their wardrobe this way was more fun than being a T.V. Reporter! So I left my job (right when the 2008 recession hit!), moved back home to Toronto and took my Image Consultant training and started my business.
And it was the best decision ever!
My business took off so quickly, that early on I was personally invited to take part in some advanced Image Consultant training with Stacy London from TV’s ‘What Not To Wear’!
Since then, I have helped hundreds of women (and some men too!) makeover their wardrobes and I know it’s what I was born to do!
And now, as a busy working Mom, I know what it’s like to juggle motherhood, family responsibilities, and a career all at the same time (it’s exhausting!).
I also know that taking the time for self care and feeling good about how you look can feel like one more “to do” on your long list of responsibilities.
Let me help you with that!
I believe that your clothing and how you choose to dress yourself is a major form of self care that has a magical positive effect across so many areas of your life.
So, whether you live in the GTA and we do it in person or you live anywhere else in the world and we do it virtually or through one of my online courses – I can help you create a wardrobe and style that is best for YOU.
