Top 5 Footwear Trends for Fall 2020

Fall fashion is often quirky and fun – a time when designers & top labels don’t mind taking new risks.

And as they say…

A woman can never really have enough handbags and shoes.

So today, we wanted to guide through through some of the top 2020 Fall footwear trends so you could start thinking about which one(s) may be best for you.

Here are the 5 styles you’ll be seeing a lot of:

A lot of designers worked with bright shades for boots this season and it’s definitely one of the more innovative trends in recent years. From colours like green, red, blue and more – there’s so much to explore in terms of shades. Coloured boots may seem over the top, but who doesn’t like to have some fun trying something new? And if you’re wearing a neutral outfit, they could be the perfect pop of colour to add some visual interest to your look.

Chains are one of the most popular embellishments this season – being used on heels, flats, and boots. Top designers have incorporated chain details in a variety of ways – which adds a nice contemporary feel to what can otherwise feel like a “plain shoe”.

One of my personal fave trends for this Fall, in many ways, over-the-knee boots are now a fashion staple that can be worn with skirts, dresses, skinny jeans, and even shorts (with tights). There is also a wide range of prints and styles to choose from, so no matter your personal style preferences, you will find something worth picking.

Just like chains, bows on shoes have made a big comeback in 2020 and we expect this trend to last for some time. Designers added big, bold bows on simpler styles, taking the fashion element to the next level.

There is no shortage of amazingly funky furry footwear this season! Try saying that 5 times fast! 🙂 Seriously though, from pumps, to boots, and even sandals – the fur is flying! Don’t worry, you don’t have to do the real thing to take part in this trend – lots of brands are opting for the faux version.
