By the end of our time together, you will have a collection of clothes you are excited to wear and that can easily be mixed & matched with one another to create a variety of outfits for all areas of your life – work, weekend, date nights, you name it!
Here’s how the Sort, Shop, & Style works…
In less than 2 weeks, I will help you define your personal style, detox your closet, shop for new pieces you’ll be excited to wear,
and create a collection of head to toe outfits that you will look & feel amazing in.
Warning: Side effects include no more stress when getting dressed, along with increased confidence and daily compliments.
Session 1: The Sort (2 hours)
We’ll begin at your home with a casual chat and Style Consultation (don’t worry, it’s fun!).
After that, we’ll head to your closet so I can have a look at your current seasonal wardrobe and based on what we discussed during your Style Consultation, I’ll suggest what you should keep, donate, or alter. I may even ask you to try on a few pieces so I can see how things fit you.
While we are going through your closet, I will also be taking notes on what you need to fill in the gaps in your wardrobe, what you need to replace, and creating an overall plan for your wardrobe and our upcoming shopping session.
Session 2: The Shop (2 to 2.5 hours)
This is going to be the most fun and relaxed shopping experience you have ever had! Pinky Swear.
That’s because prior to our shopping session, I will be doing something called “pre-shopping”. What this means is that I will be going to a number of stores that fit your style and budget, and I will “borrow” the clothes from the stores and will set them all up in my Styling Suite for you to try on when you show up (the picture at the top of this page is my Toronto Styling Suite all ready for a client shopping session). It’s just you and me in the styling suite (with drinks and snacks of course) with your own private changeroom.
As you’re trying things on, we will decide together what you should keep, and then we’ll go to the stores afterward to purchase those items and return the rest.
Session 3: The Style (2 hours)
Within a week of your shopping session, I will then come back to your home to see how you’ve been enjoying your new pieces and answer any questions you may have,
We’ll then head to your closet again where I’ll create outfit combinations for you using your new pieces, mixed with your previous wardrobe. You’ll take pictures as we go along and save them to your fave electronic device so you’ll have a handy resource full of outfit ideas – right at your fingertips!
During this time, I’ll also make any notes for you regarding items you may want to look for in the future to continue to make the most of your wardrobe.

Are all Personal Stylists the same?

Don’t you hate when someone answers a question with a question? 🙂
Seriously though, you know the saying “You get what you pay for”?
Well, you could pay absolutely nothing and go to your local department store or shopping mall and work with a “Personal Shopper” there who makes all (or at least the majority of) their income based on how much you purchase, but that may leave you wondering whether or not their advice and suggestions were really objective.
Don’t get me wrong…there’s nothing “wrong” with this and you may walk away with some fun new pieces you may have never considered before. But in all honesty, you could likely get the same end result for free if you found some well experienced retail sales staff that can show you around a store.
If you’re looking for a higher level of service and transformation though, with an experienced Personal Stylist & Image Consultant who is going to put in the time wanting to really get to know you, review your current wardrobe, create a strategic plan for making over your style and wardrobe, and support you throughout the entire process and beyond, then I’m your girl.
There is alot of work involved in what I do that comes before and after the actual shopping day – including research, pre-shopping, clothing returns, and lookbook creation – and for that reason, I don’t charge by the hour. My package pricing is based on the successful end result my clients get and the ease and speed at which I help them get there.
How many outfits will I have by the end of this and how much will I have to spend?
That varies depending on the client and service booked.
I have worked with women with a $300 budget for the season, up to a $5000 budget for one single shopping session.
During the initial process of getting to know you, we will discuss your overall budget and your comfort level with different prices points, and I promise to always stay within those parameters. Pinky swear.
In terms of how many outfits or pieces you will have by the end of this, again, that depends on your budget and the service package you choose.
How long does this service take from beginning to end?
Between all of our in person sessions, it’s roughly 7 hours of time together in person.
However, I will also be doing work before our time together like research and pre-shopping before you show up for our shopping session (this alone is about 3 + hours), as well as work done after our sessions are over like returning clothes and creating your look book.
What if I don't like anything you pick out for me?
I am proud to say I have been doing this work since 2008 and have worked with hundreds of women since that time, and this has never happened.
I will be completely honest with you though…
I can count on one hand the number of times I have worked with a client who didn’t end up with as many items as she had intially hoped to get.
The common denominator among that handful of women though, was that they were dealing with body image issues that could not simply be erased with a “magic dress” or “secret style of pants”. There were much deeper body image issues going on.
